The Northern Australia Development Office (NADO) was a proud gold sponsor of the Developing Northern Australia (DNA) conference held in Darwin in June.

The DNA conference; Above the Line – unleashing the north’s potential was hosted by the Association of Sustainability in Business and continues the dialogue which began in 2015 following the release of ‘Our north, Our future White Paper on Developing Northern Australia’.

The conference was attended by 400 delegates and provided a platform for business, industry, academics, NGO’s special interest groups, indigenous communities and all levels of Government to participate in shaping Australia’s future.

The conference was facilitated by leaders in respective fields across twelve forum sessions and nine keynote speakers including Mr Peter Yu, Chief Executive Officer, Nyamba Buru Yawrur discussing the sharing of risk and managing opportunities and a new way of doing business in the north.

Interviews were conducted with some of the participants that included discussions on a variety of themes including the relationship states have in regional Australia with the Northern Territory and tropical health. These interviews will be available soon on the NADO website www.northernaustralia.nt.gov.au
